The Rev. Dr. Donald Boisvert

Donald Boisvert is a retired professor and priest, though he remains active in the diocese.  He was formerly an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Religions and Cultures at Concordia University, and subsequently Principal of the Montreal Diocesan Theological College and Priest-in-charge of Christ Church Cathedral.  While a student preparing for ordination, Donald did one of his placements at St. Matthias, and he is very happy to be back as clergy associate, working to support Fr. Patrick.

Donald also holds a doctorate in Religious Studies from the University of Ottawa, and has published extensively in the area of religion, sexuality and gender. He is interested especially in Queer theology and Eucharistic spirituality. He and his partner of 42 years love to travel.  Donald is also a passionate reader.  His favourite authors are Christopher Isherwood and Michael Arditti.
